The French Agricultural Research Centre for International Development (CIRAD) is a French public and commercial enterprise under the joint authority of the Ministry of Higher Education and Research and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of France. CIRAD is a French agricultural research and international cooperation organization working for the sustainable development of tropical and Mediterranean regions. CIRAD works with countries to generate and pass on new knowledge, support agricultural development, and fuel the debate on global issues concerning agriculture. CIRAD has a global network of partners and 12 regional offices, from which it conducts operations with more than 100 countries.
