The Japan Wildlife Research Center (JWRC) conducts research to identify ways to build harmonious relationships between society and nature. Since its founding in 1978, JWRC researchers have been deploying advanced technology and expertise to provide solutions to major nature conservation challenges. It proposes new initiatives for protected areas such as national parks and supports the management of World Natural Heritage sites and other prioritized areas. JWRC also contributes to human resource development and international cooperation for environmental conservation.
