Reflections on improving rural people’s nutrition: A conversation with 2021 World Food Prize winner Dr Shakuntala Thilsted

I was extremely pleased to see that my colleague and friend Dr Shakuntala Haraksingh Thilsted has won the 2021 World Food Prize for her “groundbreaking research, critical insights and landmark innovations in developing holistic, nutrition-sensitive approaches to aquaculture and food systems."  I still remember sharing an office with Shakuntala in IFAD headquarters almost 25 years ago, and have held her in the highest esteem ever since.
