The Inland Fisheries Research and Development Institute (IFReDI) was established as a national research and development institute under the supervision of the Fisheries Administration of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, Cambodia (MAFF). IFReDI envisions sustainable development of Cambodia’s inland aquatic resources for the country’s food security and economic prosperity and provides relevant scientific information and technical support based on biological and socioeconomic research. IFReDI aims to develop and upgrade the national capacity for the rational management of inland fisheries and maximize the income of fishers and farmers.
