International Institute for Environment and Development
The International Institute for Environment and Development (IIED) is an independent policy research institute with a mission to build a fairer, more sustainable world, using evidence, action and influence in partnership with others. IIED works through partnerships with like-minded organizations in Africa, Asia and Latin America, and is focused on five main areas: natural resources, climate change, human settlements, sustainable markets and governance. IIED is one of a small group of independent, nonprofit organizations that has provided core concepts and methods for thinking about sustainability and social change. IIED carries our action research, advisory and advocacy work and publishes journals of its findings.
