Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs
Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) is responsible for Japan’s economic and development aid policy and is the author of Japan's Official Development Assistance Charter. The Charter outlines Japan's aid policy, which puts Japan’s potential to contribute to global peace and development at the forefront of its objectives. MOFA seeks to actively support economic and social infrastructure development, human resource development and institution building. Japan has significantly contributed to the economic and social development of developing countries, especially in East Asia. Its most important policy goal is to support the self-help efforts of developing countries.
