The Fisheries Committee for the West Central Gulf of Guinea (FCWC) is an intergovernmental organization that seeks to promote regional cooperation among its member states to ensure sustainable development, management and conservation of marine resources. The committee is made up of six member countries: Benin, Cote D’Ivoire, Ghana, Liberia, Nigeria and Togo. Through policy and institutional reforms, regulations and improved governance, FCWC aims to rebuild and maintain robust fisheries resources, create sustainable livelihoods for small-scale fishers and improve intra-regional and international trade of fish and fishery products.
