The Food and Nutrition Research Institute (FNRI) is an agency in the Philippines that provides data, information and products to combat malnutrition in the country. Using scientifically sound, environmentally friendly and globally competitive technologies, FNRI works toward strengthening Filipinos, both socially and economically, with optimal nutrition. Founded in 1987, the agency first researches malnutrition, then formulates policies, strategies, programs and projects to offer solutions to both public and private sectors as well as other stakeholders. FNRI develops nutritional products, provides nutrition updates and analyses, offers nutritional intervention models, promotes and transfers food and nutrition technologies, and improves human resource development.
