Natural Resources Development College
The Natural Resources Development College (NRDC) is Zambia’s leading agricultural college. It was established in 1965 to offer various three-year diploma programs in agriculture and related disciplines. Students in the fisheries program mainly study production and the management aspects of various fish species. In addition to crosscutting subjects, students also take specialized courses such as marine engineering, surveying, hydrobiology, aquaculture, fish gear technology and aquatic ecology. The college places considerable emphasis on practical training, offering hands-on work in laboratories, on the college farm and through industrial placements.
