Nurtingen University (NGU) is an applied sciences university in the Stuttgart region of Germany. Its main teaching and research areas are in business and economics and in agriculture and landscape planning. The university conducts research and education in the economic, ecological and societal aspects of sustainable development. It offers practice-oriented and scientifically-based programs that focus on applied research. Founded in 1949 as a college for agricultural engineering, NGU became a public university of applied sciences in 1972.
