Swedish International Development Agency (SIDA) is a Swedish Government agency charged with implementing Sweden’s policy for global development, with an overarching goal of reducing global poverty and hunger. SIDA actively partners with governments and NGOs in 33 countries around the world where it allocates aid and funds assistance projects. It administers approximately half of Sweden's total development aid budget. SIDA cooperates with Swedish government agencies, organizations and international bodies such as the UN, the EU and the World Bank.
