Ahead of the Tokyo Nutrition for growth (N4G) Summit in December, an event was held to launch 'The 2021 Global Nutrition Report,' (GNR) which is a report that outlines key challenges and solutions to address poor diets and resulting malnutrition in all its forms across the world.

In this virtual launch event, researchers, funders and civil society working in nutrition research, including the Independent Expert Group (IEG), shared the latest comprehensive picture of the state of global nutrition and present key findings, areas for action and highlight the importance of better tools for commitment-making and strengthened accountability for nutrition in the world.

WorldFish’s Global Lead in Nutrition and Public Health and the 2021 World Food Prize Laureate Shakuntala Thilsted joined other representatives from key constituencies to share their unique perspectives on what the GNR means for different food production sectors, including aquatic food systems, and spoke to the report’s significance in solutions to transform food, land and water systems for healthy people and planet.
