Over the past 18 months, the Food Systems Summit has brought together all UN Member States and constituencies around the world – including thousands of youth, food producers, Indigenous Peoples, civil society, researchers, private sector, and the UN system – to bring about actions and work together to transform the way the world produces, consumes, and thinks about food.

Also known as the ‘People’s and Solutions Summit’, this virtual convening of food system leaders, experts and stakeholders leveraged the power of our food systems to achieve all of our shared goals for people, planet, and prosperity. It culminated this inclusive global process, offering a dynamic platform for heads of state, government and other constituency to take the food systems agenda forward.

WorldFish joined this highly anticipated event, highlighting our presence at the Dialogue with the 2021 World Food Prize Winner, Shakuntala Thilsted. We showcased our continued efforts in transforming food systems through strong evidence-base policy action, ensuring up gender-equal accessibility to innovations and resources and solidifying our commitments to providing nutrition-sensitive aquatic food systems for healthy people and planet.
