In this special webinar hosted by FAO Regional Office for Near East and North Africa (NENA), food system leaders, research experts, and policy specialists convened on World Oceans Day to share perspectives and develop strategies to drive the sustainable blue transformation of aquatic food systems for healthy oceans and people.

WorldFish’s Global Lead in Nutrition and Public Health, Shakuntala Thilsted, who is the recent 2021 World Food Prize Laureate, drew on her expertise as Vice Chair of the Summit’s Action Track 4 on ‘Advancing Equitable Livelihoods’ and discussed nutrition-sensitive aquatic food system initiatives for improved food and nutrition security in the NENA regions.
