This virtual event will focus on WorldFish’s research innovation in aquatic food systems and climate change resilience in Myanmar.

Part one of this presentation outlines the work carried out in research about aquatic food security with a focus on sustainable aquaculture, small-scale fisheries, climate change resilience, nutrition and value chains and gender. Part two of this presentation will chart the process, methodology, outcomes and next steps of a risk assessment of the Myanmar fisheries sector (inshore, inland and aquaculture sub-sectors in Ayeyarwady & Yangon regions and Rakhine state). This work is intended to address some of the barriers the Government of Myanmar (GoM) may face in the implementation of its National Adaptation Plan of Action (NAPA) objectives.
