In this television broadcast hosted by ATN Bangla, the first Bengali language entrainment television, WorldFish's ECOFISH II scientists, fisheries experts and policymakers were featured to discuss development opportunities and challenges of marine fisheries and Hilsa, which is Bangladesh’s national fish and a key source of the population’s food and nutrition security.

At the moment, Hilsa’s seasonable availability proves to be a challenge for the communities dependent on aquatic food systems for their livelihoods. The invited experts shared with the audience recommendations to improve Hilsa availability and productivity through innovations in production and conservation methods.
