A virtual forum exploring sustainable food production solutions for healthy and nutritious diets in low- and middle- income countries.

In the lead up to the 2021 UN Food Systems Summit multidisciplinary leaders came together to discuss game-changing solutions as part of the summit's Action Track 3, which aims to boost sustainable food production practices that address hunger and malnutrition while operating within planetary boundaries.

WorldFish’s Global Lead for Nutrition and Public Health and Vice-Chair of the UN Food Systems Action Track 4: Equitable Livelihoods, Shakuntala Thilsted, joined the expert panel to discuss the role of aquatic foods system in nature-positive food production.

Thilsted provided insight on how aquatic foods from inland waters, including rice-fish fields and homestead ponds, can nourish people and planet.
