In this Affiliated Session on ‘Unleashing science’s potential to transform food systems,’ hosted by CGIAR, IRRI and other influential partners, experts working across different aspects of the food systems within CGIAR, came together to discuss innovative ways to produce robust and impactful research outcomes to transform current food systems and achieve the Sustainable Development Goals.

WorldFish’s Global Lead in Nutrition and Public Health, Shakuntala Thilsted, joined the expert panel, drawing on her expertise as Vice Chair of the Summit’s Action Track 4 on ‘Advancing Equitable Livelihoods,’ to share WorldFish’s innovative strategies to transform food systems to be more sustainable, healthy and resilient with aquatic foods, especially for the poor and vulnerable communities living in Africa, Asia and the Pacific.
