The COVID-19 pandemic and efforts to mitigate its spread have led to disruptions in these sectors arising from declines in incomes and restrictions on movement.
Careful monitoring of the impact of COVID-19 on these sectors can guide government, private sector, and development partners on policies and interventions to minimize potential disruption.
This virtual policy seminar analyzed the current situation in Myanmar’s livestock and fishery sectors, based on the results of recently conducted phone surveys and highlighted potential actions to keep these sectors functioning during these challenging times.
