A virtual workshop exploring innovative solutions to boost sustainable development research in low- and middle- income countries in Southeast Asia.

In this workshop, hosted by Springer Nature & Times Higher Education, research leaders came together to discuss growth and investment opportunities for shaping future education systems geared towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

WorldFish’s Global Lead for Nutrition and Public Health, Shakuntala Thilsted, joined the expert panel to discuss the new decade-long aquatic foods research and innovation strategy to end hunger and advance the SDGs by 2030.  

Thilsted provided insight on how shifting the narrative of existing research and publication to include aquatic foods in the global agricultural research agenda is key to achieving sustainable and equitable global food systems.
