Scientist

Mam Kosal is a Scientist with expertise in natural resource management, protected area planning, and climate change. His work focuses on sustainable fisheries management and community-based conservation efforts. He holds a Master’s degree from Dalhousie University, Canada, and a Bachelor of Fisheries Science from the Royal University of Agriculture, Cambodia.

Before joining WorldFish in 2006, Kosal worked as a consultant for UNDP Cambodia on multiple projects and served as a program coordinator for Wetlands International. With over 20 years of experience, he has contributed to initiatives that promote sustainable fisheries, climate resilience, and the effective management of protected areas.
