Chief of Party

Manjurul is Chief of Party and Scientist, and is leading an aquaculture project funded by USAID for Myanmar at WorldFish. He has 25 years of aquaculture development experience. Prior to joining WorldFish in 2006, he worked with CARE Bangladesh, BRAC, SABINCO, DANIDA in Bangladesh, and Nam Sai Farms Ltd. in Thailand, and completed consultancies for FAO and ActionAid. He has an in-depth understanding on integrated farming systems, monitoring and evaluation processes, participatory action research and community based development interventions. Manjurul played key role in managing the largest aquaculture project funded by USAID for WorldFish in Bangladesh. He has published more than 50 articles on aquaculture and rural development. Manjurul holds a Ph.D. in integrated agriculture-aquaculture from Institute of Aquaculture, University of Stirling, UK and a M.S. from Department of Fisheries Biology and Genetics, Bangladesh Agricultural University, Mymensingh, Bangladesh.
