Aquatic Foods for Health and Livelihoods in Timor-Leste

Although Timor-Leste has a rich culinary history of food from the sea, fish and other aquatic foods are often inaccessible and too expensive for many Timorese. Agustinha Duarte, a WorldFish research analyst, is working to increase the consumption of nourishing aquatic foods to improve health and nutrition in the country. She celebrates the island nation's biodiverse waters and rich aquatic resources, and explores their potential to support healthy, equitable diets and diverse livelihoods.
